January 20, 2024: Happy Game Day ( 7 hours)

Today is yet another game day. I was able to start my day late today. I slept in till 9:00 which is another extra hour compared to yesterday. I made myself an omelet to fuel myself then picked out my game day outfit. I had to be at the sports center by noon, so I left my house at around 11:00.  I got my latte to start my day then headed into the gym. The coaches and I were still frustrated from the last game so we were thinking of anything else we could say or do to get a win today. We headed onto the court for our warmup where I now just watch because the team knows the routine. We then went into the locker room and talked about what we needed to do to beat this team this second time. Tipoff started at 2:00. We tried our best to get the team confident in winning, but the game didn’t turn out well once again. It ended at 4:00 and we ended up losing by almost the same amount as before which means there was barely any improvement. Now we were furious with them because we felt like they had given up today. We talked to them for a whole hour in that locker room after the game. We let them go at about 5:00 while all coaches stayed two more hours re-watching the game and dissecting each possession. We know we needed a change and we needed it fast or our season will be ending very shortly. We headed home at 7:00 in hopes of enjoying our day off tomorrow.
