February 2, 2024: Stay Positive( 9 hours)

Today I woke up at about 8:30 a.m. made myself some breakfast and got ready for a long day in the office. I left the house at 10:00 a.m. and headed straight to Starbucks. I arrived at the athletic center at 11:00 a.m. and went into the office to look at some of the recruits who answered my email. A few were happy to hear from me so I proceeded to ask when would be a good time for them to visit. After working on the computer I went down to the weight room to check on my girls' 12:00 lift session. Once it was over we went straight to the gym to start practice at 2:00. Today’s focus will be similar to last practice in executing our plays. Since tomorrow will most likely be an easy game we won’t use it to play around, we will use it to improve in the areas we struggle in on other teams. After walking through our plays a few times and going over our defense, we finished practice with some shooting. We ended practice at 4:00 and let the girls go to their classes if they needed to or back to their dorms to do homework. My coaching staff and I decided to watch our rival Farmingdale St’s game together. We had some spare time in between so we ordered some food while we talked about the best dates to get these recruits onto campus for a visit. 6:00 slowly approached and the game started. It was a close game until the end. Farmingdale ended up winning which almost fully cancels our chances of winning playoffs. We knew tomorrow was game day so we had to focus on the present instead of the future. We needed to do whatever it took to keep these girls motivated to play hard until their last game of the season. After a long day, we headed home at 8:00.
