January 18, 2024: Game Day ( 14 hours)

Getting home early yesterday benefited me greatly because I needed my rest for today. Today we have an away game so it will be a very long day. My day started at 7:00 a.m. when I woke up to get ready for team breakfast at 8:00. I decided to put on our sweatsuit and change into my game-day outfit once we arrived at the school. I got my Starbucks and headed to the cafeteria to meet the team. We all ate bagels with cream cheese. After breakfast, we let the team go back to their dorms to lie down before lunch. Lunch was at 11:30 and since it’s game day, our routine penne alla vodka was on the menu. After lunch we had a team shoot around at noon. We let the team come up with their own shooting drills while we sat back and watched. At around 2:00 we decided to head to Brooklyn for our game because we knew it would be bad rush hour traffic. The drive took about 3 hours and we arrived at the gym at 5:00. The team got dressed listened to music and started their warmup at 6:00. Tipoff was at 7:00. This game was another one that went left fast. As a team, we did not play good basketball. We yelled at them in the locker room after the game because we were so mad. We had to end the talk with encouragement though so we could keep their heads held high. The game ended at about 9:00 and we got the team Qdoba and they ate while we headed back to school. We arrived back to school at 10:00 and we were all so exhausted so we headed home.
