January 17, 2024: Easy Day ( 5 hours)

Today was probably the easiest day we had all season. I started my day at 7:00 a.m. once again because I needed to be at team breakfast by 8:30. I still stopped on the way to get my latte, especially because today was another early morning. When I got to breakfast I was still tired and not very hungry so I decided to just have a bagel and some fruit. After breakfast, we had film from 10-12. We re-watched the game from the first time we played this team to see what mistakes we could fix this second time around. After watching that game we watched their most recent game to see what they do differently and how we can prepare for it. After film, we let the team head to lunch on their own while us coaches ordered our own food and talked with each other. We ordered heroes from a local deli by the school. It’s a neighborhood favorite and I can see why, it was amazing. We talked about the game being postponed and how that extra day of rest should benefit our team for tomorrow. We each mentioned anything that might’ve been missed that could help us for tomorrow. We were confident about the game because it’s easier playing a team the second time now that you know their strengths and weaknesses. We ended the afternoon with some jokes about one another before we cleaned up the conference room and headed home at around 1:00.
